While browsing a thrift store this little beat-up, neglected luggage rack caught my eye. It just needed a make-over and it would be good as new.

First I took off the straps, washed it and painted it with white chalk paint. After the paint dried, I put a clear wax over the paint and then a final coat of dark wax.

Then I dug out some upholstery webbing, glued the cut ends under and stapled it on. I added decorative tacks on the sides for a finishing touch.

Now my guests won’t need to put their suitcase on the floor.
