It makes me happy that my daughters and I share common interests such as sewing. A conversation over fabric collections and patterns is not uncommon. When my youngest daughter went to college she needed furniture for her sewing room. I found an old sewing cabinet at a thrift store and a broken chair at a yard sale. Sorry I don’t have before photos but everyone has seen these dated scratched up sewing cabinets at thrift stores and yard sales.

My daughter requested I paint it dark gray. I found fabric to match and also scrapbook paper to decorate the drawers which had a decorative indentation so I just traced that and attached the scrapbook paper to the drawer fronts. New hardware was purchased and added to the cabinet. I fixed the chair and recovered the seat with the new fabric.

Now she has a place to sew and create more wonderful quilts.
I love it. What is the paint color and where did you get the fabric?
Thank you! Hi Raquel! The paint is spray paint from Home Depot. Can’t remember the color but I think it is the dark gray with 3X label. I found the fabric at Hancock Fabric.
Thank you. I have a project these would be good for.
Adorable – love it.
Thank you!
