Life at the Cottage

Spring Fever Quilt

About February I get a case of spring fever. Outside it looks like an under-exposed gray-scale photo. The days are dark and dark longer. I need light and color, life.

When walking through the fabric store I caught this fabric collection out of the corner of my eye. I tried to talk myself out of buying it telling myself it was too juvenile but it was on sale and it was cheerful, colorful, and looked like a great spring fever quilt. In case you don’t know, a spring fever quilt is one that you wrap up in, lose yourself in a good book, sip on hot tea, and wait out the gray-scale weather. This is a mini vacation in a way, escaping in a great book and letting everything else go away. Now to choose a book to read…
