Sometimes a chair takes up too much room and this is the case in my small sewing area. I found this small bench that the cushion lifts off providing a small storage space. Bonus! You can see by the before photo that it was scratched up and had rust on the metal feet. The cushion was in the original plastic covered state and had what seemed like an iron burn on top. It was ugly, dirty, and neglected but I saw potential.

My Mr. Wonderful took the bench apart and sanded the wood. He applied metal primer on the feet after cleaning up the rust. The wood was painted with primer then white paint and he reassembled the bench. Then I upholstered the bench cushion with red mattress ticking fabric after adding more batting. Now it is clean, simple, and ready to use.
